Holiday Party 2021​

The Holiday Party is traditionally held on the first Saturday in December at the Sir Francis Drake Hotel in San Francisco, California. The Holiday Party is well attended by ACFLS members and their guests, as well as judicial officers from throughout the state. During the evening, ACFLS presents the Hall of Fame, Outstanding Service to Family Law, and the Board (aka Sterling) Awards and newly elected board officers and board are installed. The dinner is an enjoyable evening spent with friends, colleagues and the judiciary with the opportunity to listen to the inspiring speeches of ACFLS award recipients in addition to learning about the amazing contributions ACFLS has made to the practice of Family Law, legislation and access to justice.

The Foundation has traditionally held a raffle or other fundraising event at the dinner and presents grants awards to current recipients. In 2019, the ACFLS Charitable Foundation was pleased to award a $5,000 grant to Harmony at Home for their Children 1st Project in Monterey County. The Children 1st Project helps children in Monterey County cope with the trauma of a high conflict divorce by educating parents with live in-person teachers on the best communication and other strategies to lessen negative impacts on their children during high-conflict divorces.
